The automotive industry is facing a once-in-a-century transformation. Countries like the UK and Germany have announced plans to ban the sale of gasoline and diesel vehicles by 2030, while France aims for 2040. This indicates a global trend towards stricter environmental regulations for automobiles, with a shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) and zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) expected to accelerate overseas. In Japan, the government's goal of phasing out gasoline-powered vehicles by 2030 further underscores the acceleration of electrification. As a result of these developments, various changes are occurring in the market and the environment. We believe that providing our expertise and technology to companies developing products that reduce environmental impact is a contribution to the global environment and local communities. Through our testing and evaluation capabilities, we will support the development of power semiconductors and inverters, which are essential components for such products.
We are aware that we are not only members of the local community
but also members of the international community.
Therefore, we will engage in social contribution activities in the areas where our business operates.
Believing that it is necessary to contribute to the global environment and local communities, we have been promoting activities such as launching an organization called the Future Committee to carry out necessary research and various actions by 2030. Through these activities, we will deepen our interactions with society and the local community, and contribute to the development of people who are interested in technology. Our hope is to develop human resources who can realize the "Future Quality" that we aim.
Initiatives Through
Our Business
External Support
We are promoting contributions to the international community through donations to organizations such as "Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders)." Furthermore, we are devising further initiatives to support institutions engaged in such social contributions through our internal committees.
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), known as Doctors Without Borders,
is a non-profit, private medical and humanitarian aid organization that rushes to the aid of people around the world who lack access to medical care. They provide emergency medical assistance in crises caused by conflicts, natural disasters, poverty, and other challenges, maintaining an independent, neutral, and impartial stance. Founded in France in 1971, MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 for its remarkable achievements in humanitarian efforts.
